Adoption of an electronic health record is the wave of the future; however, providers of healthcare are not always enthusiastic about change. Implementation of an EHR necessitates bringing all parties infl uenced by these changes together to determine the best processes as we move forward. The military’s electronic health record, AHLTA, has been the largest EMR adoption project in the world involving every medical facility in the United States military. This session will focus on the experience of Naval Medical Center San Diego, one of the largest military treatment facilities.
